My Pen

I am on day 4 of Xeloda, at exactly the halfway point of my first round. I started taking it on Monday, I will take my last dose on Sunday. Then I will have a break from Monday to Sunday. That's the pattern...for now.

So far it's not too bad, but as with all chemo drugs the effects are cumulative. I am already feeling some changes. For example, my voice is messed up just like it used to be when I took steroids before treatment.

Blood work from yesterday was all good. While I was there I met with the nurse practitioner to discuss the new drug and what to expect from it and its possible interaction with Coumadin.

This was me today...

I was walking around saying 'my pen, my pen...where is my pen, somebody stole my pen.'

That show always cracked me up. And this particular skit will forever remind me of my brother.

Favorite Pen Update: I found it!!!!!!!! (in a really weird spot, out of the way spot on the floor of my cubicle. I have no idea how it got there, just glad it did and that I saw it.)

Favorite Pen Update #2: I just remembered how my pen ended up in that weird spot. Before I left work yesterday the light above my cubicle was making a really annoying buzzing sound. I discovered that if I threw my pen up at it, it would stop buzzing for awhile...it must have fallen/bounced over there.

I know...I am SO smart sometimes.
