Number of times I've sworn I will never go back to Pizza Street no matter how cheap they are: 5 (every single time I've been there)

Number of different salad dressings the Applebee's waiter brought me: 2

Number of correct salad dressings the Applebee's waiter brought me: 0 (yes, "French" does sound kinda like "Ranch", but it does not sound like "Italian")

Hmmmm...I go out to my hen house to gather eggs. I don't have any hens that lay strawberries or cherries. Note too self: Get some chickens from Kelly's neck of the woods!

You make me laugh :) I meant to reply to your last post...do you know the song "You're beautiful damn it" by Bette Middler? It is one of my theme songs so I smiled at your last photo. You ARE beautiful :)

I'm still recovering for the Relay for Life and our whirlwind trip to Michigan. Hope things are on an upswing for you.

Hey Kelly, Very funny. Watch out - all that fruit might have you running for the bowl REALLY fast.
As for the Sopranos. Watched last night and just finished it twice in a row. SO much to take in. My favorite was after Bobby was shot and they show the little miniture train dude that looks like he/she is screaming. Classic. I also wished they had just left that wimpy assed AJ in the house for whomever might come! :)

Welcome back! Your trip sounds like it was a lot of fun (and exhausting). I'll bet it was good to get away, and also good to get home. Congrats on such a successful Relay!

I don't know that Bette song, but I looked up the lyrics and they're great!

Unleash your ferocity upon an unsuspecting world.
Rise up and repeat after me: "I'm beautiful!"

I've been using my corny buddy for some aches I've been having. It's the only thing that seems to help. Besides drugs, that is...and I can't be drugged ALL the time.

Come on down to KC and I'll introduce you to our fruit-laying hens!

:o)

No kiddin! My mom was joking that she thought I'd add that particular 'number' to my list...haha, such a funny mom I have. ;o)

Strawberries remind me of my Grandma Martin. She and I would go out to her garden and sit in her strawberry patch and eat strawberries right off the vine still warm from the sun. Nothing ever compares to those strawberries...or that feeling.

Cherries remind me of my Grandma Kori. She always had those in her fridge. We never had them at our house cuz they were expensive and we were poor, so they were one of those 'grandma's house treats'. Same with nectarines, Breyer's ice cream, and Spaghetti-O's...those things all still remind me of my mom's parents.

Food and memories...funny how everything is all tied together in our minds.

Soprano's: Poor Bobby. That was a cool scene though. I'm glad they didn't kill anyone else in the store.

That poor man and his daughter the cousins killed though. Sad.

I'm glad Syl's still alive, he's one of my favorite characters (he cracks me up with his little comments). Not sure if we'll see him again though since he's in the hospital in a coma and all.

I'm wondering how they're gonna wrap everything up in the last episode. I'm sure I'll be sad when it's over, just like with Friends, Sex & The City, and Deadwood.

Fruit, bread, protein. Carbs are what I crave most right now...had bread and cheese for dinner last night. No wonder my capris are so tight these days!

Hope you're doing well and feeling okay from your stuff this week!

Hugs,
~K

Speaking of Syl... Did you notice when they all holed up in the house at the end, that there was a cardboard cutout of Syl in the corner? At least that's who it looked like to me.

Interesting, I craved carbs alot too during chemo. I wonder why?

Food definately plays big in memories. From marshmellow fluff in cocoa (Grandpa Joyce used to have it on the table after school for me)... to Green bean soup and chicken fricasee (Grandma Betsy). Yumm... good memories.

i think our bodies crave what they need the most.

dang, i'm getting hungry with all this food talk!
