i am home today. not feeling well enough to be at work...at all. maybe tomorrow. hopefully.
i heard an old favorite and a new favorite song today and wanted to share them.
no big news flash to anyone who knows me: i am not a morning person.
however, i have always loved this song. we used to sing it in church when i was a kid, i always got excited when i saw it in the program as one of our hymns for the day.
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world

HEY YOU REMIND ME OF A SONG: "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE" WISH YOU WERE FEELING BETTER. ALWAYS,D.
I have always loved Morning has broken. Our choir sang it in Jr. High and I have loved it ever since. I still sing the alto part when I sing along. Gotta love the harmony.
And, Wow...love the song. I have never heard it...but I LOVE it. Who is the singer? What is the name? I am SO going to play that one for my hubby tonight...makes me want to dance real slow.
I wish you a better day tomorrow. Hang in there...
Hugs
