Brightest Star

In the middle of a winter’s day
I feel a little bit cloudy and gray
There’s a riddle standin’ in the way

How a man can have so many things
Underneath the Christmas tree
And still not have what he needs

In my hour of darkness
Find me, find me
Look up to the sky
Find me, find me
Find me the brightest star
And wish for you and I

Watch over the seeds you sow
And let the babies grow
You got to give them love and let them go

Remember what the cricket said
Everything your heart desires
Will come to you in its own time

In my hour of darkness
Find me, find me
Look up to the sky
Find me, find me
Find me the brightest star
And wish for you and I

Wish I may, wish I might

My hour of darkness
Find me, find me
Look up to the sky
Find me, find me
It might be the finest hour
Find me, find me
I wish that you were mine

Wish I may, wish I might

So don’t forget to bow your head
And imagine more than what you see
‘After all life is but a dream

Not sure why, but for some reason that song reminds me of my Dad.

I am so excited! I stopped at the grocery store on my way home tonight and FINALLY stumbled upon an item I have been searching for everywhere for months:

Not Sugar Smacks, not Golden Crisps...just plain, un-pre-sweetened puffed wheat. Dad used to eat it when I was a kid and I liked it then. I was a weird kid, and am an equally weird adult who actually prefers cereals like Shredded Wheat, Cheerios, and Rice Krispies over Cap'n Crunch, Fruit Loops, and other heavily pre-sweetened cereals.

I picked up a bag at Price Chopper for only $1.39. Made my day and night...and probably my tomorrow morning too.

I am off of work tomorrow. I have to go give my weekly blood, pick up my new wig, and maybe try to find something to wear to Terri's wedding on Saturday. I am hoping to get all of that done early enough so that I can rest up for the fun, and most likely exhausting weekend ahead. I know my counts will be low, so I am also hoping to get there on Saturday in time to relax a bit before the festivities begin.

i swear i was on a mission for months to find those stupid things and had pretty much given up hope. i wasn't even looking for them last night when i found them.

i found a recipe where you can make them like sorta rice krispy treats. i'll always find a way to make something healthy unhealthy.

You should have bought several boxes.....You never know when they will be gone. I have been searching for New Mexico green chili....miss it...Have a good day Cameron

good idea, cam. i might go back and stock up. especially if i make the unhealthy puffed wheat treats. the recipe calls for, like, a billion cups of the cereal.

new mexico green chili? what's it look like? i'll look for it here in joco for ya. or wyco might be a good place to look. i'm not too far from roeland park. the price chopper at 75th & metcalf has a large authentic hispanic food section. no el paso, pace, or taco bell crap there.
