I have been in contact via e-mail with someone from the city since they took my beloved tree on 4/22.
I asked if the new tree could be planted now as opposed to the fall. I also strayed from the list they provided and asked if I could have a pink dogwood (in honor of breast cancer).
They agreed, and even asked if I wanted to go to the tree place and pick out my own tree.
When I got there, I walked right up to the pink dogwoods and chose one that is a called 'Cherokee Brave'. I thought that was fitting since I have some Cherokee ancestry, and well...I am brave (most of the time).
The city guys will be coming back tomorrow to plant it. It's kinda small right now (about 6 feet), and is nothing like the tree that was there, but hopefully it'll add a splash of color (and meaning) in my 'hood for years to come!

I am feeling pretty good, mostly tired. My PT/INR this week was 2.1, which is right in range.
I have a couple more doses of Xeloda to take tomorrow, then round #7 will be complete.
I see Dr. McK. next Monday, 5/11.
That's it for the health stuff. I am excited about my new tree and to do some more landscaping.
