my mantlequick health update...i wanna get outside (it's beautiful):
saw dr. mck today, my tumor marker is down to 116!
06/09/08 - 65 (began chemo break)
09/15/08 - 89 (still on break...but not for long)
10/15/08 - 88 (after 1 taxotere treatment)
11/10/08 - 119 (after 3 taxotere treatments)
12/15/08 - 123 (happy b-day to me!)
01/07/09 - 140 (after 5 taxotere treaments)
02/09/09 - 151 (after 1 xeloda round)
03/16/09 - 140 (after 3 xeloda rounds)
04/27/09 - 116 (after 5 xeloda rounds)
06/15/09 - ??? (after 10 xeloda rounds)
we track the trend here, and any downward trend is good since upward ones could result in more tests and potential drug changes, among other things.
i am still liking xeloda...it is known as a kinder, gentler chemo drug and i have found this to be true thus far. so, i'd like to stay on it for as long as possible and/or as long as my body allows it to work.
tumor marker gets tested again on 6/15, and i see dr. mck. again on 6/29.
in the meantime.......
