Alvin W. Dietzel, 84 of Jamestown, MO passed peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at his home. He was born January 18, 1925 in Jamestown, MO to John H. and Barbara (Schull) Dietzel. He was married March 30, 1996 in Jamestown, MO to Velma (Kesselring) Jesse. He attended Fairview grade school and graduated from Jamestown High School. Alvin was a Veteran of the U.S Army serving during WWII with the Air Defense Artillery. Alvin retired in 1979 from Procter & Gamble in Kansas City, KS after 32 years. After retirement he moved back to the Jamestown area in 1995. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. In 1969, Alvin submitted his life to Christ and has been a piller in his faith. Survivors include; his wife, Velma; one son, Glenn Dietzel of Jefferson City, MO; one grandson, Bobby Dietzel (Jennifer) of Lee’s Summit and his mother Cheryl of Oak Grove; one brother, Everett Dietzel of Jamestown, MO; one sister, Rose Wyckoff of Jamestown, MO; three step children, Deania (Charles) Blubaugh, Vance (Katie) Jesse and Vinda (Brad) Wagner all of the Kansas City area. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and one great grandson, Hunter.
