no matter how much sleep i get

this has to be one of the longest days in the history of long days. people seem to be talking a lot more/louder than they normally do. about stupider things than they normally do. and making really annoying noises like snapping, tapping, whistling, clapping, and oh, i don't know...breathing. just the usual unnecessary noises some people make that are annoying in the best of circumstances, and excruciatingly irritating in the worst.*

oh, i'm soooo much fun to be around right now.

i did actually get a lot accomplished at work today, which is good. makes me feel somewhat normal/useful. we brought in food for the august b-day people, but nothing tastes right at the moment. these days are usually good days to just graze on the snacky goodness of finger foods, but i can't even enjoy one of my favorite pastimes. dammit.

*whoops....my co-workers who read this will all now be walking around on eggshells trying not to annoy my ultra-sensitive, chemofied bionic ears. i'm really just venting here, not directing anything at anyone in particular. sarcasm is hard to convey in the written form, and we all know i'm nothing if not sarcastic. i made it sound a whole lot worse than it actually is...so talk, snap, tap, whistle, clap, and breathe away, everyone!

on a totally unrelated note: has anyone tried coldstone creamery? i tried it ths week and was very underwhelmed. i don't know if it's my messed up taste buds or if it's just not as good as the hype surrounding it. it made me miss maggie moo's...are there any of those left in KC?
