Funniest thing I heard today, and Example #1 of how easily amused I am:
"Is it good for the chicken?" (said by someone misreading one of those "Is it good for the children?" bumper stickers).
I laughed and laughed and then laughed some more at this. It's still making me snicker.
Example #2: Above picture. I recently stayed amused for hours taking "artsy" pics of my drink with my handy dandy camera phone.
Update: As anticipated and as per usual, I am feeling better every day. It was a good weekend despite the fact that I didn't get to do a lot of the things I wanted to do and/or would normally do if I hadn't been so sick and tired.
What I did, and am grateful I got to do:
-Friday night: Went to Jose Pepper's for dinner
-Saturday: Ran a few errands (only a few because I got tired and had to go home and take a nap); accomplished a few things around the house (i.e. began frontyard landscaping project)
-Sunday: Spent the afternoon with my family celebrating Mom's birthday
-Monday: Went to Manny's with Toye and Steph for a girls' night
What I wanted to do, but couldn't:
-Saturday: Go to the Plaza Art Fair with Kori & Becky; run more errands; accomplish more things at home
-Saturday night: See Terri who was in KC for the weekend with Bob and their kids
-Sunday: Go to a housewarming party at Cathi & Chris's new place
It frustrates me to no end that there are things I want to do but can't due to circumstances beyond my control. I really have to just go with how I feel and I mostly just feel tired and I'm not used to that, I am used to having the energy to do everything I want to do. I'm still having fun when I can, but I really do have to limit myself as to when and how I have fun.
It's an easy week at work. Our annual meeting is going on this week, so those of us who didn't go get to dress down all week and tomorrow we're having a big pot luck lunch. I'm glad I'm feeling good this week to enjoy it.
As far as upcoming appointments go, I have a cat scan on Friday, along with my weekly bloodwork.
Hope everyone's having a good week so far!

Totally Unrelated Note: I think one of my neighbors is going crazy and/or color blind. He is painting his house, which was this color with this color trim. Nice, normal, subtle/neutral colors for a house, right?
Well, now he's painting it this color with this color trim. I kid you not. Nice colors as well, just not for a house...that I have to look at. A house in Miami Beach maybe, but not in KC. My street is getting a tropical treat just in time for winter...or perhaps he's going for a pumpkin theme for Halloween. Either way, thank you, Mr. Crazy and/or Color Blind Neighborman!

LMAO@crazy neighbors :D cameron I have one of them......a lot more crazy than just the colors
You just gave me a good chuckle here at work - I can't stop giggling at the thought of the crazy color blind neighbor (who in my mind looks like Mr. Magoo) outside in the cold painting his house!!!
Thanks!!
Bec
That is hilarious.... he must be colorblind as those are awfull colors to paint a house. Maybe he is of hispanic orgin....(looking for a reason why!?) I know Oscar wouldn't even attemp to do that to ours. Gladyou had a good week, I was in D.C. working the assembly.
Missed ya when I was gone.
