Quick Update

Izabella's first time playing in the snow

It's a busy (and fun) week. Typical week-of-chemo for me. I try to cram everything in this week personally and professionally since it's when I feel my best.

Last night - Girls' nite with Toye & Steph. We hung out at Toye's house and had a great time just talking, eating, drinking, listening to music, and visiting with her 3 gorgeous step-daughters and hubby.

Today - Computer training session at work for a new budget system I'll be using for our upcoming annual budget process.

Tonight - Book club holiday dinner at Brio on the Plaza. We went there last year and loved it. Can't wait to see everyone!

A few of the book club girls at Brio last year

Thursday - Pre-chemo bloodwork, and of course.....

Friday - Chemo #10 with Becky

Oh, and after much back-and-forth-should-I-or-shouldn't-I-
put-up-a-tree-this-year-?-ing, I put my tree up over the weekend and I'm very glad that I did. I got a new tree skirt and I couldn't really tell what it looked like until it was under an actual tree, so the decision was made for me when I decided to replace the tree skirt I've been using for the past 15 years. Here's a crappy cell phone picture of the new one:

Cute huh?

Updated update: I just received good news from my doctor about the CT scan I had last Friday. Everything is stable, nothing is growing...so the chemo is still doing its job.

Kel,

Glad to hear your good news about CT.

I'm going out on a "limb" here "fir" ya, hope you don't stay in all weekend "pine-ing" away "fir" it looks to be good weather wise here. Not meaning to "skirt" (picture) the subject...cause I may just be "barking" up the wrong "tree".

Sorry, I know that was "sap"py, but I just could resist...I "treed" real hard but I had a "ball" (as in orna to the ment!).

Har har...that was "tree-mendous"!!!

That's as creative as I'm gonna get today.

2:06AM...how can you be that creative that early/late?!!?

It's 11:28AM and I can't even think of another word for 'creative'.

I'm blaming it all on chemobrain. Yeah, that's it!

At that time of night/morning my mind can "splinter" into a million pieces, like saying..."I just COULD resist....when I meant I couldn't resist.

I wish you could have seen me wipe out on the ice this morning. I was still having to walk down to my car because the ice was still too deep. I fell all over the place and it really hurt. I twisted my knee, back and neck, but fortunately living in the country, no one saw except a bunch of squirrels who laughed at me. Sometimes I hate those damned things.

Take care.

Oh, yeah, Eric is having shoulder surgery tomorrow (12/12/06) We'll be at the hospital all day. Think of me while he's recuperating, too.

I hope this chemo fallout is gentle on you.

Love ya,

huh, i didn't even notice the missing "n't"!

sorry about your fall, i've done that before and it does hurt (worse and worse as we get older). glad no one but the damn squirrels were there to laugh. i would've laughed too (cuz for some reason people falling is just hilarious to me. remember when that girl walked in the post on campus and we both cracked up?), while checking to see if you were okay, of course!

hope all went well with e-wok's surgery today, been thinking of you guys. wishing him a speedy recovery, and i'll be thinking of you as you nurse him thru his recuperation. sometimes that can be the roughest part.

love ya,
~k
