Thank you to everyone for the gifts, cards, voice mails, e-mails, and good vibes that you sent my way for my birthday last week. You all made a not-so-great week/day a whole lot more enjoyable!
I am happy to report that: 1) I am back at work playing catch up (yes, being at work is better than being home sick), 2) I am now on the upside of this cycle, and 3) I won't have chemo again until after Christmas.
Busy, but fun week ahead at work...food and holiday parties, ending 2006/preparing for 2007. My company gives us the week between Christmas and New Year's off every year, so when I leave here this coming Friday I won't have to come back until January 2nd. I am already planning out a few organizational projects for that week (i.e. filing the past year's bills that have been stacking up, putting away hair care products that have been collecting dust for the past 6 months).
New Year's Eve will be a few days after my 12/29 chemo, so a quiet night at home will be my celebration. Quite honestly, that's my favorite way to celebrate that particular holiday anyway what with all the other drunks and cops that are always out and about...too dangerous for this 40-something ex-party girl.
