One of the radio stations I listen to changed formats recently.
They have been playing a larger variety of songs, many of which I have never heard on the radio, some of which I haven't heard in awhile but love so much. This all makes me very happy. Not to mention they are playing 5,000 songs in a row with no commercials or DJ's. Which makes me even happier.
Dire Straits are one of my all-time favorite groups. Mark Knopfler is a guitar god.
I have always loved this song, but have never heard it on the radio...until tonight.
Dad, if you're reading...I think you'll like this one too:

I have heard of that station as I do my radio run down to find a good song to listen too......5000 songs in a row with no breaks is a long time! Cam
And I like this new window comment thingy also :D Cam
you should check it out!
it's been going on since friday, 1/11. not sure what number they're on now, they're not saying...just playing.
i always switch stations around to find who's not talking. music....no talking, especially in the morning.
i'm dreading when they start talking on ky again. that can make or break whether i listen to a station.
i refuse to listen to frankie on 101 in the morning cuz she bugs the crap out of me saying 'yeah, baby' and singing the songs she plays ALL the time.
and i won't listen to 96.5 in the morning any longer because of the obnoxious dick dale show.
the only thing i want to know in the morning is the weather and if anything major happened in the world (or kc) overnight.
other than that....just play some music and shut up!!!!
wha?
the window comment thingy is new/different????
no! the "im not so good at the advice....can i interet you in a sarcastic comment?" window. i agree about the radio tho. didn't max and tanya get fired again???? what was that?-vin
ha...that cracked me up...and is so true when with me...unfortunately.
yep, they got fired again. out with the old, in with the new i guess. max will retire, tana will probably go somewhere else...maybe 101.
they're mixing in some newer stuff, so i think they're going for a younger demographic. more of us in our early 40's and down the people younger than us, into their 30's.
makes sense. 101 plays the older stuff. their music and 99.7's was the exact same stuff. there was a void that will hopefully be filled now.
we'll see though, the jury is still out for me.
