floating toward a clue

some kid, some kid, jordan, some other kids
(edit: ok, according to my niece, those 'some kids' have names:
emma, allison, you know who, and max)

chemo went well today. my bone and ct scans both came back stable/good. dad pleasantly surprised me by coming to sit with me, it was nice to do that again.

i talked to dr. kent about integrating some supplements into my treatment plan in order to balance out some of the damage that the chemo drugs are doing to all of the good stuff in my body. she's cool with whatever i want to do and even recommended some people i might want to talk to who work with cancer patients on nutrition.

we also discussed lowering my dosage or taking a chemo break...both of which scare the crap out of me. something to think about, but i want to try these other things with my current dosage so i can tell which change is doing what in my body.

tonight i went to a music recital at jordan's school. it was all percussion and very cool! please excuse the crappy cell phone pics, apparently i am a bad aunt who forgets to take her camera to family events.

me & ash
(not paying attention when jordan wasn't playing)

jordan and a bunch of kids
and those boom stick things

to jordan & ashton:

hey look...this guy uses those boom sticks whackers too! this is one of uncle kori's favorite bands. i posted the lyrics separately because the ones lyricsmode.com were wrong.

the video is just part of the song:

i'm still looking for the whole song, will put it up if i can ever find a good version of it cuz it's a pretty cool song. i have downloaded a good version of it, i just can't figure out how to link to it up here. duuuhhh.

here it is:
Keller Williams - Breathe (with String Cheese Incident).mp3

Feeling the water rush into my ear
As I submerge into the deep blue
Weightlessness bliss wish to stay like this
As I'm floating toward a clue
Hearing the sounds of exhausted young children
Expressing their interest to go
Mothers and fathers who bake by the pool side
Prepare as I remain below

Then I breathe
Breathe

Paddle and treading I'm rising toward surface
The bubbles are leading the way
Alone in my universe far from the earth
I escape intense heat of the day
Kicking like Kermit I plunge for the bottom
Prolonging my next grasp of air
Paddle and twisting I use my reserves
And whatever left that I can spare

Then I breathe
Breathe

No thunder, no lightning
Or hail or tornado or tropical storm hurricane
No police, no problems, annoying loud noises
Just symmetrical picture frame
Weightlessness bliss wish to stay like this
As I'm floating away from my ills
Time to invest in an air tank or snorkel
Or pray I acquire some gills

Then I breathe
Breathe

Breathe - Keller Williams
