Seasons in the Sun

According the the calendar, it is now officially Spring!!!

I love this time of year, everything is gradually turning greener. Flowers are sprouting up everywhere. Soon it will be time to mow again, soon it will be summer, soon it will be hot. Soon. But not yet.

Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons because they are times of transition, nothing too extreme. I like that they can be unpredictable, I like that the earth just knows what to do, I like that they are a combination of many good things (warm days, cool nights). They are sort of a middle ground...which is where I tend to to dwell, where I feel most at home.

Nothing new to report here, you all know where I am in the cycle right now. I just want to focus on the good things and spend some much-needed girl time with Toye and Stephanie tonight. Times like these (and this past weekend) with my friends and family are what have always sustained me. But now, more than ever, these times mean everything to me.

(The title of this post is the name of a song I loved as a child. I just read the lyrics again in their entirety, but they're too sad to post on this happy day.)
