The One Where I Talk About Boobs

Bone Scan results are in: Stable/Unchanged

As you all know by now, this is good news. I will meet with Dr. Doane when I go in for chemo on Tuesday to discuss hitting my one year chemo point (June 2) and where we go from here.

I feel better with each passing day. I am busy at work and home getting prepared for next week. You all know the predictable pattern of my life by now.

And now, here's something completely different and kind of crazy...but it's for a good cause, so what the heck:

An online friend of mine is in a radio contest for the best "implants."

Jill was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 25, and recently completed all of her treatments and surgeries (Yay!). She has entered the contest as a way to demonstrate that implants aren't all about porn stars and strippers (I hope that comment doesn't offend any porn stars or strippers out there!).

If she wins any of the prizes, she plans to donate all of the winnings to the Young Survival Coalition, which is an organization for women under 40 diagnosed with breast cancer.

The DJs responsible for the contest also are donating money to a Breast Cancer Awareness Charity. If Jill is interviewed on the air, she will discuss breast cancer survivorship. In other words, she is taking the opportunity to turn a really sexist, cheesy competition into a win for breast cancer awareness. You can only vote once, so please pass this along!

You need to vote before Friday, May 25th.

They are going to announce the top 5 on Friday morning, then they will reset the votes so that people can vote for the best of the top 5. So, you can vote again over the weekend if you miss the Friday deadline. Hopefully with our help Jill will be in the top 5, and then go on to win the contest.

Her boobs are named "100% Silicone - Cancer Free" and have pink stickers where her nipples would be (if she still had nipples) that say "cancer sucks!" (sixth row, first column, when I was voting).
