I can't even begin to imagine. Only 23. Not right.
It's amazing any of us live through the torture of the treatments and the life-threatening mistakes that are made along the way. Unfortunately, that's what took this young woman, not her disease.
Parents (and grandparents) should not have to outlive their children.
My heart aches for them all.

oh p.s. - we recently had a cold snap and I got to use my corny buddy...it felt SOOO good!!!!!
The thought that she died, not from her cancer, but from a screw up makes me just heart-sick. I know that things happen, but it truly is not fair in any sense of the word.
Are you able to get any rest or is the steroid-buzz keeping you up? I hope you are hanging in there.
Glad you liked your "buddy". Isn't it such a nice warmth...better than any heating pad I have ever had. I'm addicted to them :)
I know. It was a simple procedure, replacing her PICC line. The surgeon perforated an artery which collapsed her lung, caused an infection, and respitory problems that eventually took her. Doctors are only human, but still...such a waste.
No rest for the wicked. I was up til 3:30 last night, up at 7:00 for work. So, buzzing like crazy here. Took my last dose this morning, so hopefully I'll get some sleep over the weekend.
The buddy heat was amazing for my cold feet...loved it. Makes me wish I still had the monthly cramps. Not! ;o)
