the quote above about restraint is from another blog. easier said than done, but i am learning.
the picture above wasn't intended to be so freaky-looking, it just turned out that way because of the shadows. there is a red leaf on my shoulder that came inside with me. some leaves are still on some of the trees and they are literally breathtakingly, tear-inducingly beautiful.
the pictures below were taken with my cell phone at another of my favorite parks that i stopped by today. just trying to enjoy the last of the leaves and warm weather while they're here.

speaking of leaves...the lawn guys came by today and finished bagging up the few piles i couldn't get to, the leaves that had fallen since the leaf fairy visited, and the backyard. it looks great...til the wind blows anyway! damn neighbors.
