I scored an 82 (out of 100) on my health assessment yesterday...not too shabby for someone with cancer.
The lady I talked to was sort of grandmotherly and very sweet, her name was Ann. We had a good time talking about our shoes, where to get the best deal on Dansko's (my fave) and Merrell's (her fave), the fact that we both have plantar fasciitis (which is why we have to wear the expensive shoes), and joking that my high cholesterol is probably the least of my worries at this point. My HDL and blood pressure are good though, so that evens things out a bit. I've always had high cholesterol and it runs in the women in my family, so that was no surprise.
Some of the questions were funny/ironic, but otherwise it was pretty non-eventful, but still enjoyable because of Ann. And because of Ann, I will be making a trip to Bob Jones sometime soon. I find it hard to believe that I have never been there and I've lived in KC for 20+ years now.
I know I've told you guys about flameless candles before, but I am really liking the tealight and votive sizes right now. Real tealights burn out so quickly and these are great for places where you don't want a flame, like on shelves, near walls or curtains. You don't get the scent, but they are safer and last longer than real candles. I found some at Target in the aisle where they have flashlights and nightlights. Check them out!

i gotta get me some!!*candles* i left a candle buring (again!!) all night!!tsk tsk!! your niece is SOOO darling!!!!
i do that too...very dangerous!!! i've had candle holders shatter, and burn marks left on wood surfaces and countertops.
i only have two of the smaller ones (so far), but as i walked around my house last night i kept noticing more and more places where they would be perfect.
they had them at a restaurant i was at recently, which is what prompted me to look for myself.
i'm telling ya...i am in LOVE with these things. if i had a mind to ever get remarried (which i don't), i'd MARRY them!!!
THE LAST TIME I CHECKED YOU WERE A TEN AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN A TEN. ALWAYS,D.

I too love candles, and cookies and Target!!!
I have found the best cookies at Price Chopper in the $1.00 aisle. They are called Bud's Best Cookies. I am especially fond of the Pecan Supremes, but the others are good too.
Hi Donna...glad you're here!
I'll have to check out those cookies. I love pecans!
Hugs,
