holiday weekend update:

- hung out with cathi wednesday nite after work...did more christmas decorating (see above). we are so proud of ourselves.

- had an awesome thanksgiving lunch at tracy & tony's. jordan planned fun activities for us, like a thanksgiving/family word search that she created herself at puzzlemaker.com, and a coloring contest:

- met up with vinda and her family at the hyatt and drove down to the plaza lighting ceremony. we got a great spot on wornall just up the hill from the ritz and the raphael.

- after the lights and fireworks, we went back to their room and ate some more. it was a pretty chilly night, my counts were low, and i feel like a cold or something is trying to catch me.

vinda & brad made it entirely possible and much easier for me to be part of their/our thanksgiving tradition by minimizing my walking and exposure to the cold by parking my car for me and bringing it to me all warmed up when it was time to leave. vin and i also stayed in the warm truck while the rest of the family walked down in the crowd to see the lights better.

they have been doing this for 15 years now, and lucky for me, they have always included me in their tradition. i have only missed two years, and i was so glad to be able to be there again this year.

- after all of that thursday activity, i didn't leave the house at all yesterday, i didn't even get dressed all day. i always try to avoid black friday at all costs, even when i'm not sick. i did pretty much nothing except sleep late, take a 3 hour nap, and play a whole lot of this:

- today, i am doing a little christmas decorating:

pine cones & berries

- later i am going to see sean; meet his girlfriend, amanda; and hopefully get to chat with his mom to see how she's doing with her treatments (for leukemia).

- but first, a nap.
