{Story People ~ Real Reflection}
Mom, Dad and I met with Dr. McKittrick on Tuesday to go over all of my recent test results.
Awesome parents that they are, they are always willing to come with me to any of my appointments. Independent person that I am, this was the first time I have let them to come with me to the new location. It was good to have them there so that they could see the place where I spend a lot of my time and to meet Dr. McK.
There's not really much going on that we weren't already aware of...slowly rising tumor marker, fluid around my left lung & heart, paralyzed vocal cord, metastases in my liver, and in my lower left lung.
Did you see the scans down there? The black stuff on the "R" side is air in my right/"right" lung, the white stuff on the "L" is where air should be in my left/"wrong" lung.

We discussed doing radiation to my sternum, but that was quickly ruled out after Dr. McK talked the radiation oncologist who gave me rads back in 2001.
So, I have started back up on the Xeloda pills and will see the ENT on Monday to discuss how to help get my voice back. In the meantime, everyone around me is enjoying some peace and quiet for a change!
Good things in my world right now:
- I am seeing Toye and Steph tonite after work!
- Terri & Kim are coming to KC to see me tomorrow!
- Jordan's 12th birthday party is Saturday!
- It's going to be in the 60's for the next few days!
- I received my state tax refund today!

Kel - it was so good to see you Monday (even if wasn't a happy occasion). Also thought I'd tell you my littlest one (olivia) loves Chocolate by Snow Patrol. So funny --- I am passing down our love for music and I am proud that my girls know and appreciate bands like RHCP, Tom Petty, Snow Patrol, Cure, Green Day... etc. and NOT just Miley and Hanna Montana!
