terri wears glasses to read now,$1 ones that make me feel dizzy
The past few days have been absolutely amazing.
I have such great friends, they all came to me and made everything as easy as possible for me as they could.
I can't begin to thank them enough for catering to me and my situation, and for always being there...no matter what.
Good Stuff Update:
- Thursday - Toye and Steph: We met at Waldo Pizza after work, and then moved our party to my house to chat some more (sorry, no pics).
- Friday/Saturday - Terri & Kim: They hit KC around 8:00pm Friday. Vinda brought us some snacks and locally-brewed beer (thanks, Vin!). Jenn joined us as well. We just hung out at my place until around midnight (see pics...more to come).
On Saturday, I met up with Terri, Kim, and Jenn on the Plaza. We were very lucky to have perfect weather, so we were outside a lot.
We had mexican and 2 pitchers of margaritas for lunch on the deck (in February!) of Baja 600...

After lunch, we walked around the block and went into one of my favorite stores for a bit...
...then we hung out in the penquin courtyard...
...until it was time for me to sober up and get to....
- Jordan's 12th birthday party: The perfect weather continued into the late afternoon hours, so we got to sit outside to eat and to watch the birthday girl open her presents (pics to come).
After Jordan's party, I went home and pretty much crashed off and on for the rest of the weekend.
It has been a wonderful few days full of friends & family, warm weather, happiness and laughter.
Paul and I bought this goofy video game at Ace Hardware for $10.
It's the poor man's wii. We've already gotten our money's worth out of it just playing the bowling part of it yesterday whenever I was awake. I laughed and laughed at my own bad bowling skills...kinda like in real life.
I started back up on Xeloda on Thursday. I've noticed my hands are kinda red and pealy, and I feel more heaviness/pressure in my chest. I will take it until Wednesday, then I have a week off.
Weekly blood work was this morning (all good), and this afternoon I see the ENT to talk about what we can do to help my paralyzed vocal cord. Not being able to talk is very frustrating in a group of girls, I have important opinions that need to be heard!
