Further deatils on the Celebration of Kelly's life

Hello all, We wanted to provide some more details on the celebration of Kelly we will be holding Friday Oct. 23rd, 7pm-midnite, at the Lenexa Conference Center (Thompson Barn) in Lenexa, KS.

This party was the most imortant thing to Kelly. If there's one thing she would have wanted, it would be for us celebrate her, not mourn her. Easier said than done, we know. Nontheless, she told us countless times that if the end ever came, that we HAD to throw her a party, and we will gladly grant her that wish. And you are invited.

So I want to make it clear that you, and all who knew or cared or who Kel cared for are invited to this celebration. It's not reserved for family or close friends only. This gathering is meant to collect as many people that she knew or knew her, no matter how directly or indirectly, under one roof. Bring photos, memories, funny stories, anything you'd like to help honor my sister.

So bring your spouses, your children, your parents, your friends, your dog, your cat, your pet bird (alright don't bring your animals). This invitaion applies as well to the friends (and their families) of my mother and father, my sister Tracy and me too. We would love to see you. One and all.

There will be food, snacks, drinks and the like. However, take note drinkers...we will not be providing alcohol for you. You'll need to bring your own adult beverages if that's your thing. We've got approval from the venue to allow alcohol on the premises, so if it's your thing....feel free to bring it (and save some for me, haha).

The visitation (Thurdsay Oct 22, 6-8pm @ Mcgilley and Hoge Memorial Chapel) is going to be tough on all of us of course. And honestly Kelly is probably cursing us right now from her perch that we are even having such a somber event for her. But the profanity would fly to no end if we did not throw-down on Friday for her. And we'd like this celebration to be the big send off, not the visitation.

So please try and make plans to attend the party (and the visitaion too of course if you want). She would love to see everyone there and having a good time. If you knew Kelly, you know she'd have wanted it this way.

Thank you to everyone for all your kind words, emails, calls, thoughts, vibes etc...There are too many people to mention by name, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We can't wait to see you there!!

Sincerely, Kori Martin and Family
