Today is the day Kelly is finally free. She gained her freedom at 3:05 this afternoon. She wanted all her friends and loved ones to celebrate her life. So if you will, join us in celebrating Kelly's amazing journey today. We will post details the visitation services as they become available.

We found this book in Kelly's home and thought it would be helpful to you:

The Next Place

The next place that I go
will be as peaceful and familiar
as a sleepy summer Sunday
and a sweet, untroubled mind.

I wont remember getting there,
Somehow I'll know arrive;
But I'll know that I belong there
and will feel much more alive.

I will not be a boy or girl,
a woman or a man
I'll simply be, just simply me.
The body I once lived in won't be
part of me at all.
I will finally be perfect.
I will be without flaw.
I will travel empty-handed.
There is not a single thing I have
collected in my life that I would ever
want to bring-except the love of those who loved me
and the warmth of those who cared.

Although I didn't know Kelly and I just lurked on her blog I want to tell her family what an inspiration she was to me. I am a breast cancer survivor of five years and so far have not had a recurrence. I would check up on her though to watch the courage she had. I hoped to learn from her if ever I'm in her shoes again. I regret now that I never posted to her and told her what a remarkable woman I thought she was. God bless her and keep her in his loving arms.

Kelly, I have maintained, is one of the very few people that ever walked the earth without many enemies. She had a way of touching people that she met with her cute smile and kind words & humor. She continued to inspire when miles seperated many of her friends through technology. And she will continue to do so from Heavin...fly high Kel!!
