Can you see Rod right above the flash?
We had so much fun Friday night! Steph and I arrived at the downtown Marriott before Toye did, so we decorated the room with some pictures of Rod that I had printed off of the internet. We were cracking up the whole time knowing that Toye would be so surprised to see them. We even put one on the back of the bathroom door that you couldn't see until you closed the door. Yes, we are so mature.
We all got ready and despite that fact that it was a cold, rainy night we walked to The Quaff a few blocks away for dinner before the concert. From there we walked back to the hotel to get Toye's car, then we were off to the concert.
As soon as we walked in the door, they upgraded our tickets to a lower level. It was an older crowd just as we expected it would be, but we were on the younger side. Most everyone sat the entire show, but we were on our feet dancing and singing for the majority of it...cuz we're so young and all.
The show was over by 10:30, so we headed back to The Quaff for a little while and then just went back to our room. Toye went to sleep fairly early, but Steph and I stayed up talking until around 3:00am. We often joke about the irony of Toye having two such similar people as her best friends.
Saturday morning, we slept in until around 9:00, got our stuff together, and headed our separate ways around 11:00. I took a nap, then went back downtown to the Hyatt to watch Jordan in a dance recital. So cute!
I went to bed early for some much-needed rest. Today, I have been busy around the house doing laundry, paying bills, and working in the yard (the rain has FINALLY stopped and the sun has reappeared). I am going out to run a few errands now. Just trying to get everything done before tomorrow.
