ice ice baby*

kc is experiencing an ice storm right now. after work i bought a humidifer to help with my chemofied sinuses and nosebleeds. i also stocked up on immune boosters from wild oats. there are so many sick people walking around right now, i want to protect myself from their germs...cuz everyone knows i'm not gonna quarantine myself.

hopefully these will help stave off some of the nastiness while my immune system is compromised.

my weekend was nice and relaxing. sunday i got together with my family to celebrate my birthday a little early. as usual, it was fun to see everyone and watch the girls just be their cute selves.

tuesday update:

no work today!!! and so far, i still have power (fingers crossed)!!! my plan is to do several loads of laundry that i should have done this past weekend.

in case you can't tell what it is, that is a really bad picture of a tree in my front yard covered in ice that i took last night. i was freezing and it was dark and i am no photographer. i'll see if i can get some better pics once the sun comes up (edited later: see below).

4:25 pm - there's nothing like daytime tv to make you feel like you're REALLY smart and that you REALLY have your life together. there are about a million judge (insert random name here) shows, and the people on them are crazeee.

5:25 pm - branches are falling from the trees. which is fine with me as long as they fall away from my power lines and my house.
