VOTE!

Yes, I voted...but not for Pooh, even though I think he's pretty wise.

I don't care who you vote for, please just vote. Don't take this right for granted.

I remember how excited and proud I was to vote for the first time.

It was 1984, I was 19 and in college in Springfield...the good old Reagan years.

DANG-IT! I just heard on the news that you can get free stuff around town today if you wear your 'I Voted' sticker (free body piercing!).

I didn't get a sticker because I voted using an advance mail-in ballot. So no free piercing for me. Bummer.

I wasn't sure how I'd be feeling (I feel fine), how bad the weather would be (it's gorgeous), and didn't want to have to deal with the lines/crowds (they'll be bad no matter what). I hand-delivered (waited too long to mail it in) my ballot to my county's election office, but forgot all about obtaining the cool sticker on my way out cuz I was too busy chatting with some guy about how smart we were to vote early.

Oh well.

I am feeling better, so it's back to work for me. And thanks to my awesome planning ahead skills, I won't have to worry about leaving to go vote!

When looking at your two paws, as soon
as you have decided which of them is
the right one, then you can be sure
the other one is the left.

If ever there is tomorrow when
we're not together, there is something
you must always remember:
You are braver than you believe,
stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think.
But the most important thing is,
even if we're apart, I'll always be with you.
