Give it Up

I don't really have much to share...the main thing is that I am just so very TIRED.

I had a PT/INR test on Monday and my numbers are expectedly low (1.0). They tested me again this morning for that as well as my weekly CBC. In the meantime, I will continue with the Lovenox belly shots.

I have no results and probably won't until Friday. I am tired of having to remind people to do their job, so I am giving up that particular fight for the holiday. If they decide to do their job...cool; if not, then I'll put my fighting gloves back on on Friday when I go back for my CT and kick some booty.

UPDATE: I got my CBC numbers and they too are expectedly low:

WBC=2.5
ANC=0.5

Which translates into absolutely no immune system to fight off infection or illness, and also explains why I am so tired.

Still no word on my PT/INR.

UPDATE: Still no word on my PT/INR.

Nancy, the nurse that normally manages my bloodwork and medicine is off today, but she said that the other nurse (Brenda) would be in touch.

When May, Dr. Mck's nurse called earlier with my CBC results, she said that Brenda would be calling to let me know my PT/INR results later so that I would know what to do with my Lovenox/Coumadin dosages for the next few days.

See what I mean about being tired of having to remind people to do their job?

I could have called back, but I honestly do not think I should have to.

ARGH!!!

I saw Sean and Amanda and a whole bunch of his family Monday night, had a blast hanging out and watching them play Wii Bowling in his parents' basement. I couldn't bowl because of my stitches, so I got to sit in the seat of honor right by the fire with a blanket and give everyone crap about their bowling...cuz that's what I do.

I will be going to Tracy & Tony's tomorrow for our annual Thanksgiving dinner with our family and Tony's.

After that I will be joining up with Vinda and her family to go to the Plaza lighting ceremony.

Can't wait!!!
