Three of my beautiful nieces(every other one)
and their equally beautiful cousins
(the two in between)
Some of us in T&T's kitchen
(Turkey Central...we had baked & fried,
both were delicious)
The BEST way to watch the Plaza lights & fireworks
(bundled up in the back of a truck with friends, chairs, blankets...
and Ballatore!!!)
Ash & me
(yeah yeah, most of my friends' kids are now taller than me...
and by 'most' I mean any of them over the age of 10)

I have the best family and friends. That's what I'm thankful for...every single year. Correction: every single day.I am also thankful that I felt well enough again this year to attend the traditional annual festivities at both places.
Let's see...it's been awhile since I posted, so let's catch up:
First came Thanksgiving, then my CT on Friday, then a weekend full of doing a whole bunch of nothing (eating and sleeping)...until Sunday when I remembered I hadn't done laundry in a few weeks and hadn't done any Christmas decorating. I wanted to get it all done so I won't have to worry about it this coming weekend when I know I'll be chemo crashing.
Five loads of laundry, and a mini-decorating spree later I think I am ready at home. I hit the ground running at work as well in preparation for the rest of the week.
I finally got my PT/INR numbers today. They tested me on Wednesday (1.2), and again on Friday (1.4)...so the number is steadily increasing, but not fast enough.
I get to stop the Lovenox belly injections (yay!), and up my Coumadin dosage. They'll test my PT/INR again tomorrow as well as my CBC numbers. I will see Dr. McK while I am there and he will give me my CT results.
I will probably have to go see Dr. Jew again too because the incision from the port removal surgery on 11/21 doesn't seem to be healing properly. Not to be gross, but it's still leaking stuff when it should be done doing that by now. I have a call in to her office to see how she wants to proceed.
Oh, and I have these weird red bump thingys on my right calf. Hopefully they're nothing, but I'll show them to Dr. McK and see what he says. I'm hoping it's just some off-the-wall thing that'll pass and not a staph infection or cellulitis or something else nasty and hard to get rid of...I've already got plenty of that going on around here.
That's quite enough of my boooring medical stuff for now. Stay tuned...I'll keep you posted on all test results and crazy symptoms.
