"Peace in the struggle to find peace,
comfort on the way to comfort."
Fumbling Toward Ecstasy - Sarah McLachlan
while there is no doubt that chemo totally sucks, there is a certain amount of comfort in the familiar (past two year's pattern, same drug, same side effects) and the knowledge that i am at least doing something as opposed to nothing to keep the cancer in check.
my chemo nurse yesterday was one that i know from the southwest location. the chemo scheduler was also from the southwest location. so it didn't really feel all that different.
there is a bit of a different vibe at the south location, but it's a good vibe so i'm happy with my choice so far. i really like that it's closer to home and work, and it feels good that i am learning everyone's names and personalities over time, just as they are mine.
here's a quick run-down of my upcoming appointments/tests:
tues., 10/07 - dr. jew removes stitches
wed., 10/08 - weekly PT/INR and CBC
wed., 10/15 - weekly PT/INR and CBC, CA27-29, CMP
frid., 10/17 - CT Scan
tues., 10/21 - weekly PT/INR and CBC
tues., 10/21 - appointment w/dr. mck.
wed., 10/22 - chemo #38
i will also have a ct and bone scan sometime this month, but they haven't been scheduled yet.

Hey There-
Sorry you are back on the chemo roller coaster, but I understand what you mean about feeling you are fighting. I have been off Avastin for 10 weeks because of the brain surgery and it made me nuts. I start again on monday....who would thiink I would be looking forward to it??
Hope your side effects are few and easy.
