I stopped at Panera on my way back to work from having my weekly bloodwork done and got one of these Pink Ribbon Bagels (along with some of their french onion soup). They're pretty good actually and quite a bargain at only 79 cents...makes me wonder what 'portion' of that is donated. But whatever, it tasted good and the check out girl had a pink ribbon pinned to her Panera cap too. You go, Panera Girl.

My blood counts are low, as to be expected at this point. They should be steadily climbing back up in the weeks to come prior to my next chemo on 10/27.

For the first time in all of the thousands of times I've been stuck this new (to me anyway) blood-taking chick had to try twice to hit a vein. We just laughed about it and blamed it on Friday the 13th, but I knew the vein she was trying to use wouldn't work. She skipped right over the one they always use and went to some veinless piece of skin right above my nice, big obvious blue vein. Duh.

I am planning on resting up over the weekend, enjoying the cooler weather, maybe running a few errands (I need some soft, warm hats. FYI: your head/ears get really cold when you don't have hair), and hopefully seeing Kori & Izabella at some point. Speaking of my brother, our family considers Friday the 13th to be good luck since Kori was born on one. Yeah, we're sappy like that.
