Somehow I keep accidentally stumbling upon more pink stuff for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (I can't help it, it's everywhere!). Most of the things I've posted I wasn't searching for, so when I see something that I like, I'll post it here and add it to my sidebar as well.
Here's my latest find. It's 'Shower for the Cure' from philosophy.com (the poem is from their site as well):

philosophy.comshe is a mother who can think only of the welfare of her children.
she is a wife who wonders if her husband will still love her.
she is a daughter horrified of the thought
of breaking the news to her parents.
she is a sister, a soulmate, the best girl you know.
she is a friend, a real bosom buddy.
she is a neighbor who now needs a friend.
she is an executive who has lost her control.
she is an employee who wonders how she will keep her job,
pay her bills, take care of her child, while trying to recover.
she is a patient who fears losing her life.
she is a doctor who must now save her own life.
she is a beauty who will always be beautiful.
she is a woman who never did feel beautiful.
she is famous and now wishes she wasn't.
she is a stranger who you can't see, but she can see you.
she is a person whom you have yet to meet.
she is you, she is me,
she is a wife who wonders if her husband will still love her.

she is you, she is me,
she is unforgettable.

As Rosanne Rosannadana said: "It just goes to show ya, it's always something. If it's not one thing, it's another." In my case, if it's not my car breaking down, it's my refrigerator/freezer refusing to cool things off and keep things frozen properly. I've read the manual, adjusted the temperature settings, cleaned off the coils, made sure it's plugged in, moved stuff around. I'm at a loss, so I guess the next step is to call a repairman...right in time for chemo...argh!!!
I'm still feeling super tired and under-the-weather, but I did sleep well last night. I either kept myself up late enough and/or took enough Benadryl to sleep all the way through the night (woohoo). Only problem was I could not wake up this morning (boo).
Other than all that, I am just trying to get things finished up at work and at home in preparation for the coming days/weeks of yuckiness.

My gratitude list for this week (thus far):
- Thanks to Cathi for the wonderful, thoughtful surprise. You knew how badly I wanted that super-soft scarf, thank you granting my wish. Thank you also for the slippers and jammies.
- Thanks to Shauna for the card that came at precisely the right time.
- Thanks to my book club girls for being flexible and allowing me to postpone our meeting at my house until next month.
- Thanks to the DJ who played two of my favorite songs back to back earlier today (Radiohead's 'High & Dry', and Cake's 'I Will Survive').
