MmmMmmGood!!!

Tracy and the girls stopped in yesterday for a visit and they brought me one of these special cans of Tomato soup. Trace says I would have had two cans, but somebody Jordan loves Chicken Noodle soup and ate it...that's fine by me, out of the two tomato's my favorite anyway.

Campbell's chicken noodle soup, along with Sprite, plain saltine crackers, and red jello always remind me of being sick as a child since that's what Mom always gave us when we had stomach flu. So now, all these years later even just smelling the stuff makes me feel pukey. I can't eat it unless I really am sick.

So thank you to Tracy for the soup, and thank you to Jordan for saving me from the chicken noodle memories.

(Warning: Lots o' hyperlinks ahead...cuz they're fun AND educational)

The results from my bone scan came back fine, so there's nothing to worry about there. Not that we* were worried anyway, I'm not having any bone mets-like symptoms; I only had it done because come to find out it's a required test for the clinical trial that I am doing. News to me.

It was a nice, peaceful weekend. Since my counts were so low I just laid low myself. I did run a few necessity errands on Saturday, took a 2 hour nap each day, read my book club book, stayed in both nights, and did some cooking/eating. No wonder I've gained so much weight...steroids, chemo-induced menopause (hot flashes suck!), less exercise, more/different eating pattern...it all adds up to more Kelly to love. Ah well....

I am feeling better every day now, so I am slowly but surely working my way back to the good side of life.

*and by "we" I mean: 1) me, 2) my doctor (who told me I didn't even have to take the test if I didn't want to), and 3) Nelda (remember her? My nice, new clinical trial coordinator).
