Quick Update:
- Bloodwork today said that my counts are all down to nothing. So, I officially have no immune system for a while. Totally normal and expected the week after chemo. They see this as a good sign that the chemo is doing what it should.
- MRI has been scheduled for February 3rd. Yes, that is a Saturday! This coming Saturday to be precise. I will have to do something not fun on my weekend, but that's a small price to pay to (hopefully) get the results sooner and not have to take more time off of work during budget time (again, hopefully). I am very claustrophobic, so this is a tough test for me...but I've had enough of them that I'm used to it and I just talk myself through it. The good part is that there is no prep and no after-effects to deal with.
- I feel okay. I'm dealing with some minor side effects, but mostly I am just veryVERYvery tired. I should feel better each day this week though, and for the next few weeks....so, that is a VERY good thing.
- Only taking the steroids for 3 days seems to be agreeing with me much better than taking them for 6 days. My eating and sleep patterns weren't effected nearly as much as they were with more steroids in my system.
- It's staying light later each day and that makes me veryVERYvery happy!
"Monday morning feels so bad
Everybody seems to nag me
Come on Tuesday I feel better
Even my old man looks good
Wednesday just won't go
Thursday goes too slow
I've got Friday on my mind"
