chemo schmemo

#13 coming up. blahblahblah...you all know the drill. i see the doctor at 9:15, chemo at 9:45. should be done by about 1:00 or so.

weekend in brief (with lotsa links):

friday - finished up as much as i could at work. went out for dinner and drinks with cathi. we had an awesome time at fuel (no, we did not dance on the bar). we have always liked this place and have great some memories there. it was good to get out and just cut loose a bit...i haven't been able to do that since august. felt good, but also reminded us both how much our lives have changed in the past year. love you, girl...thanks for our night!

saturday - laundry, laundry, and more laundry. i always get in a 'nesting' phase before each chemo. i clean as much as i can knowing that i won't feel like it again for awhile. paul and i went out for an early valentine's dinner. we went to friday's and tried their $12.99 combo deal. those fried green bean things are pretty good, check 'em out if you like that kind of thing.

sunday - went to jordan's early birthday party at chuck e. cheese. that place is nuts...but the kids like it and jordan had a good b-day, so that's all that matters. it was just our family, so it was very low key. it's always good to get to see my fam. jordan's braces look very cool! napped in the afternoon.

sunday night - watched grammy's. i love awards shows, i love music...so, i really LOVE the grammy's. the police reunited and opened the show...too cool! if they come to kc in their upcoming tour, i am there. wow, dixie chicks won a lot of awards (5, i think). i guess everyone has forgiven them for calling bush an idiot. i love mary j. blige (that's for you, cat). and am very glad she won three awards. i'm not a big country fan, but that carrie underwood is adorable and can sing pretty good too.

looking forward to: book club on tuesday, getting back to work, possible snowstorm. oh wait, the snowstorm might mess up the first two things. being snowed in works too.
