Go on, guess!Three hints:
1. I am not at home.
2. I am not at a medical facility.
3. No, I am not at the beach pictured above as much as I would love that.
Got it yet?
I am at WORK!!!
Who knew it'd be so exciting being at work? The very place most of us dread going every day is the place I'm excited to be since it means that I'm feeling well enough to be here. It means I'm not attached to an IV pole, and I'm not trapped at home.
So, in a weird way I feel like the little girl in the picture...like I've been given wings.
I've still got a stuffed up head and chest. I've still got a yucky cough and a drippy nose. But I don't have a fever. I've got a week's worth of antibiotics coursing through my veins, so hopefully I'm on the upswing from the nastiness that has been my life for the past few weeks. My strength is building back up, I'm beginning to feel more 'normal' with each passing day.
I'm hoping to get a few good days in before my next chemo which is scheduled for a week from today (3/5). I went today for my weekly blood test and the results are already well within normal range, they are actually better than they were at this point before my last chemo (which might partially explain why I got so sick).
I will go again on Friday for my regularly scheduled pre-chemo tests. Barring any unforseen surprises or changes, it looks like I'll be able to stay on schedule despite the fact that I've been so sick since my last chemo treatment.
