margaritas work

i'm feeling okay...better every day. still very tired. but i've never been much good at sleeping...just ask my parents.

other than that, i am working and even ran a few errands after work today.

kohl's is tricky, they're always coming up with ways to get you to come back some other day, or sometimes even that same day for some super duper bargain. i'm on to their little tricks, but i still fall for it at times. i'm saving money by spending money, ya know. the check out girls at bath & body taught me that.

toye & steph and i are planning one of our "pool days" for next monday. this is where we play hooky from work (with approval from our bosses) usually on a monday or friday just to hang out for the day.

we used to actually go to the pool with a cooler full of food and beer for a few hours, and then go watch a chick flick in steph's nice cool basement while passing around a bottle of victoria's secret pear lotion for our sun and chlorine soaked skin. but i can't be in the heat or sun now, and beer currently tastes like poo to me...so we'll just skip the pool/lotion and drink margaritas in her basement and/or shaded deck instead.

mondays are my favorite hooky days because, a) fridays at work are usually fun, so why miss the most fun day?, and b) it gives you something to look forward to as opposed to dread all weekend.

my favorite day of the week overall, just in general (but not for hooky): thursday.

you may or may not be thinking, 'huh, i wonder why that is' . well...because it's the unofficial start of the weekend for me, and also (in roundabout way) for the same reason i just listed above: because you've got a lot to look forward to on thursday without the pressure of actually doing anything, just the anticipation and possibility of good things to come.

stupid bread is all gone. now i kinda miss it. just kidding...not really. if anyone has a good recipe for it without having to do all that starter crap, please let me know.

i hate when people do tons of those linky things like i did in today's post. sometimes it seems like every word is a link...annoying.

question: is it possible to have a nest of mosquitos inside your house, or maybe in your crawl space/vents? i have a TON of bites right now, but i'm not outside much since it's, like, 1000 degrees, so i think they're attacking me inside my own home. probably while i sleep cuz some of these bites are in places where there are clothes when i am awake and/or outside. just sayin'.

seriously, i don't think i've ever had this many bites at one time. i wonder if the mosquitoes are flying around all chemotized after they bite me. serves them right.
