Real quick....I'll give you an update later. Swear. Cuz I know you're all on the edge of your seats waiting to hear about my weekend and how I'm doing today.
For anyone who gets migraines: how the heck do you do it?
I don't typically get headaches (other than the self-induced kind, which are just stupid and don't count), I never have....but I got one last night that totally wiped me out.
Miserable.
You can't do anything. At least when you're other kinds of sick you can still watch tv, or read, or get on the computer, or talk on the phone. You can keep your eyes open, you can move around, you can hear things without wanting to hurl.
I have new respect for my sister who has suffered with migraines her whole life, and anyone else who has to go through that misery. And mine wasn't even a migraine, I think it was more allergy/sinus-related. But still...OUCH.

Update: Come to find out the mold count is really high in KC right now due to all of the rain we have had lately and a lot of people are suffering with allergy-related symptoms like the headache I had last night. Good to know I'm not the only one.
My weekend was wonderful. I left on Friday, spent Friday night with Terri, spent Saturday night with Michelle, then came home on Sunday.
Besides seeing Terri & Michelle, here are some high points:
Drive, sing along to music, take pictures of things I think are funny, try not to wreck, Terri's pregnant!, like almost ready to pop, Penny, margaritas, Mexican, Bob, Free Fallin' is Terri's ringtone for me, look at old pics of the fun we used to be having instead of looking at pictures of it, 2:00am, doubt decision not to keep hardwoods, worry briefly about the ghost Terri's kids say lives where I am sleeping, sleep (ghost-free, i think/hope), home{Bob}made breakfast (yum!), Wal-Mart, me and Terri both feel old for very different reasons, hugs, drive, try to avoid tornadoes, Michelle's hair is black!, like Joan Jett, hang out in Michelle & Eric's basement watching Flushed Away while tornadoes pass, nap, Pasta House, fireworks, Boggle, Michelle wins!*, but I was a close second, happy 17th anniversary!, 2:00am, sleep, read 30 pages in my book (Nineteen Minutes) while my good baptist friend goes to church and her family sleeps, home{Megan/Leah}made breakfast and smoothies (yum again!), Princess Diana concert, walk away before I get sucked into concert and a game of Blokus (this family is fun to play games with, even if I always lose to at least one of them), more hugs, honk, drive, sing along to music, no funny pictures this time, I am ready, to, get.......home.
*Yeah, but can you use it in a sentence? And not, "I use the word qua when I play Bookworm'.
Did I mention rain, lots and lots of rain?

Bummer on the headache! If it is really from your sinuses try heating up your corny buddy and laying with it over your face for about 15 minutes. That helps mine. I also swear by caffeine. A strong cup of coffee and 2 old fashioned aspirin can’t hurt either.
Good luck….headaches suck

corny buddy to the rescue!!! i love that thing!!!
all i could think of was to put something reeeeally cold on my forehead and eyes since that's where it was all centralized.
two tylenol pm's knocked me out and must have taken the pain away since it was gone when i finally came out of my drug-induced coma this morning.
hugs and happy 4th,

Hi Kelly...sounds like you had a great weekend. I get those sinus/allergy headaches too...nasty. I was at Shawnee Mission Hospital Monday morning with my significant other..he had to get a chest x-ray. Anyway I am sitting there waiting for him to get signed in and this very interesting looking lady, about 75-80 sat down beside me. She was dressed all in bright orange. Even her hat..she was very cute. She thought that she knew me...but I don't think so..anyway long story short somehow I knew she was a cancer patient...She told me Dr. Drone...hope I spelled that right,is her doctor, she had breast cancer 21 years ago and now has lung cancer. Not related. I didn't have a chance to get her name...but if you see a cute feisty older lady dressed in very bright clothes....tell her I said Hi. Just wanted to share this with you...Hugs Marilu
I love that story, Marilu. I love how she got dressed up to go for a chest x-ray. I'm always wearing my most comfy clothes for tests and treatments.
I'll be there for a few hours on Monday, I will look for her. It sounds like she's someone I'd like to get to know. Women like her inspire me.
I talked to my sister today, and she said she had a headache yesterday as well. Darn mold. I had no idea it caused headaches.
I hope your SO's test came out okay.
Happy 4th...I hear fireworks going off as I type!!!!
Hugs,
