becky and i went to our chick flick this afternoon. it is a good movie, and visually it is beautiful. i would recommend it...just take some tissue.

it's a mother/daughter kind of film in some parts, an everything kind of film in others. there are two real-life mother/daughter sets that are in this movie. one set plays mother & daughter; and from the other set, the daughter plays the mother at a younger age.

during the opening scene it occurred to me that i have this:

i thought it sounded familiar when i saw the previews. now i need to re-read skim it. according to some of the reviewers and commenters on imdb, the book and the movie are very different. honestly, i can't remember much about the book except for the basic premise.

we also saw previews for some other movies that look good: the golden age, the savages, and talk to me.

after the movie, we went to bath & body to do a little shopping. then i came home and took a 2 hour nap.

it was a very nice, peaceful day.
