A long, hot day...but a good one.My blood counts are coming back up as they are supposed to, so I should be able to have chemo #2 next Friday as scheduled (woohoo!!!).
My company picnic was fun, it was in the 90's today but we lucked out and there was a nice (albeit balmy) breeze all day. It was at the National Agricultural Hall of Fame out in Bonner Springs. I mostly hung out with Cathi and her 3 gorgeous kids (Breezi, Jeremy, Anthony), they got their faces painted and they were so cute and excited about it. Well, Jeremy's was actually on his arm like a tattoo...very cool!!!
I left the picnic around 2:00 and headed straight to Missy's Mirror. The wigs there were nothing special (no wonder Mom & I couldn't remember!), so I'll be sticking with the ones at Brian Joseph's.
I got a very special piece of mail today from Jordan, she drew me a picture that says "You Make My Day Shine" (in those colors). It's got stars and hearts on it too! Thank you, Jordan Marie for the beautiful artwork and for the pictures of you!
A HUGE thank you to Dad for taking care of my yard today in this sweltering heat. It looks awesome...much better than when I do it!
Also, thanks to Vinda for the funny postcard from "DC"...hope you guys had a great trip (to the lake)!
~*~ Happy Birthday, Mary!!! ~*~
(Hope you had a good birthday today, it was fun talking to you and Mike at the picnic!)
